If That’s Failure…
Excerpted from Steve Jobs’ deposition to the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 18, 2008, regarding the history of his role at Apple, Inc.:
Steve Jobs: [In 1997] I took the title of interim CEO and agreed to come back for ninety days to help recruit a full-time CEO.
Interviewer: How did that recruitment effort go?
Steve Jobs: I failed.
